Thursday, 30 June

Had a restful and much needed sleep in before showing Katy the House of Parliament, Big Ben, and a few other notable landmarks in the center of town.

We met ben at E
mbankment and had a nice coffee on the land way up from the station at Pompidou Patisseries Café.

We then tubed to Borough Station (should have gone to London Bridge) to explore the Borough Markets.

A warm market located under the tube line created what was a really nice food market. There were a number of bread, cheese, fruit, and my favourite; sweet stalls. I devoured a caramelized apple cheese cake (£2.50), gluten free chocolate brownie (£1.5), Cowboy cookie, peanut butter and white chocolate brownie, smoked paprika, a coffee (and excellent one too) from Monmouth and a number of sweet and savory samples from many different shops. A certain must see and re visit on the cards for my next visit!

Ben and I headed off to Wimbledon. We walked straight in at 4pm and watched a boys and girls double, mixed double and the highlight – Sam Stosur and Lisicki (who 2 hours earlier had just lost to Sharapova on center court) play against Petrova and Radionova. It was an exciting game with Sammy winning 2 sets to 1.

We then split for the night, I headed to Kings Cross Station to wait for Katy and took some fun pictures, as well as doing a few time lapses with the gopro and cannon.
