We made it to Havar just before lunch and anchored in a nice bay as we couldn’t dock until 5pm. We swam and snorkeled and jumped off the roof of the boat, which was a good rush. Even at 2pm the water was still calm and the sun shone brightly. I am curious as to why there is no swell and wind in the Adriatic Sea.
We eventually rafted up, in what turned out to be a 9 boat raft up in the port! Dylan and I found the shops, bought a few apple ciders and ingredients for a mean tuna roll and trekked up to the famous castle atop of the hill.
Here we had a view overlooking the port, magnificent super yachts and the surrounding islands of the bay. The view made for a great meal.
We headed back to the boat and had a quick nap before heading out to meet the rest of the crew at the Nautical Bar, where we were given free shots thanks to ‘sail-croatia’.
We came across another club – The Veranda, further up the hill that had a rather good dj playing some nice house music. Danced into Ben Anderson, who will be joining me for exchange in Albuquerque – small world.
We then left and boarded the taxi which took us to the Beach Club on the other side of the bay. Rated as one of the top 10 clubs in the world, it was rather funky considering the number of people there. It was half on a beach, had a swimming pools, and a cool dance floor laid out between nice trees. It made for a great few hours of dancing before we had to get on the water taxi so we didn’t miss the boat which left at 6 (I think we got home at 4.30am). Dylan and I both had a mojito at the club, but didn’t compare to the ones we made in Ibiza!
