Friday, 8 July

Had literally 1 hour of sleep before we got up to catch a plane to Milano. By chance Katy, Chris and James were on the same flight out! Dylan and I split from them once in Milano, but looking forward to catching up with them in Budapest in a few weeks!

Flying easyJet was very easy and I was lucky to score 3 free seats so I slept for the whole 2 hours. It was a shame to be only passing through Milano; the memories from my time here with Ben and Liam last year were of good food (will never forget the gelato!), people and culture. I hope to come back to Italy soon.

Touched down in Dubrovnik... I am blown away by the beauty of the landscape. Dylan and I struggled to the top of a hill where out hostel was, paying only $20AUD it is fairly basic, but with an amazing view of the port.

We walked into the old city and had a great dinner overlooking the castle and the ocean which was glassy for the whole afternoon!

We then explored the castle and the walls, taking in the sights before heading back to the hostel... we found it easily this time. Had an early night (12.30pm) in preparation for the boat adventure which starts on Saturday.
