Wednesday, 12th October

I met Sam in the gym for a quick abs session before heading back and having a shower. I caught up with the finish girl on the ski team for breakfast at Frontier. Their breakfast burritos are superb. I had a glass of fresh orange juice that was refreshing.

I came back and did my washing, a peaceful time for me. When I get back home I look forward doing my own washing and Im sure mum will be too.

I started packing for LA and was impressed with how little I thought I’d need. I didn’t even fill my backpack! (the smaller one of the two I have). Boardies and flip flops don’t take up too much space.

Abby picked us up at 12.20pm. Lucas, Mya, Abby and I drove to Flagstaff, a 5-hour drive towards the coast. It was great seeing the countryside. This time the rock formations looked more like we were in Utah/Arizona (well we were heading that way anyway!). Imagine the rock formations you see of the wild wet movies, and I was seeing something similar.

Abby’s brother Tim lives there and we stayed at his place. It smelt fresh and clean… haha

We ate out at a great pizza restaurant in Flagstaff; we shared three large pizzas between us. One of them was a route 66, a flagstaff, and a supreme. They were all delicious.

I slept on the floor with my sleeping bag and mattress. We lost an hour on the time difference so we went to bed quite early.
