Sunday, 16th October

We rose at 6.30am, the aim was to be in the car by 7. Today was going to be a long drive back to Albuquerque. No stopovers this time. We made a good start and I drove for the first 2.5 hours.

The roads here are much easier to drive on than back home. They are straight, and at a minimum have 4 lanes split with a large medium. This makes it safer (but the Californian drivers reverse this!). Driving for 2.5 hours was felt like driving for 1.5hours, and the speed limit was a little over 80 (miles of course).

Not much happened over the next 10 hours except we stopped off for lunch at "Roadkill Cafe" in Seligman. (middle of no where). Their slogan is “You Kill It, We Grill It". I had buffalo burger.

I bought a giant ice cream sandwhich for $1.09! So cheap here.

Other wise it was straight driving... We made it home around 8pm... I had a early night sleep as I was exhausted!
