Sunday, 20th November

What a great sleep I had! I didn’t roll out of bed until 9ish. After all it was a Sunday! The room was completely pitch black as there was no windows. It was just the best.

We all got ready to go to church- Lars, Hannah’s dad was playing in the band and singing too. We got the whole family ready – we drove over in two cars.

It was a nice church with friendly people and good atmosphere. The service went for 2 and a half hours and we sung and had a pastor speak for some time.
After the service we all went to Camp Robber for brunch. I had the cherry pancakes that also came with fired potatoes and some scrambled eggs and then a nice s
erving of fresh fruit.

We came back to the house and set up the Christmas lights. I got on the roof and helped out Lars and Mica (Hannah’s youngest brother, ages 10) as well as Noah (Hannah’s oldest brother – 12).

After that was Hannah, Mica and I drove to the gold course and had a round of 9 rounds. Mica was surprisingly impressive. I score a par and a few 1 overs. I actually enjoy the round myself and hard some nice drives and a few good puts.

By the last hole the sun had set and we were playing in the dark. It was such a nice course with the trees that had lost their leaves and the mountain range in the background.

Back at the home the others were lounging around the fire and the NFL football was on the tv. We had left overs and sandwiches for dinner. Jenny, Hannah’s mum was good at making dips with avocado and other ingredients. The dipping chips didn’t last long! The rule in the house was get it before it goes- because it will be finished!!!

We watched the Eagles plat the Giants and the Eagles were the underdog. They had an unset win. Hannah took her youngest sister (Barbra 15) to the movies to watch the new Twilight movie.

After the game I headed off to bed and email dad. I hadn’t been in touch for a few days and it was nice to send him an email.

I was looking forward to a long nights sleep in the dark. I fell asleep very quickly.
