Monday, 1 August

Pinch and a punch for the first day of the month!

It was a very late start to the day. Eventually we made it to the beach and enjoyed the small doses of light that shone through the parting clouds. The weather was improving day by day.

In great anticipation we geared up for another fast-paced round of go-karting. This time Chris was around so we could have some fun chasing each others tail.

The goPro captured the whole 10 mins, ask if you want to witness 2 group spin outs. Both times no contact was made somehow… Thankfully we weren’t hurt, and the track managers allowed us to keep racing.

It took some time for the adrenalin to wash out. The arms were sore and the gut took a beating from the rattling and shaking of the lightweight karts.

We all visited the supermarket to purchase ingredients for dinner. We would cook a pasta dish with a chicken, capsicum, onion, mushroom and tomato sauce.

We had great fun all cooking together and made a very filling dinner with lots of left-overs.

Katy and Chris headed out to Seafok again, James and I sayed and watched a movie and had a quick trip to maccas for a thick-shake before getting to bed at 10.30. It was an early night I needed.
